Started with lots of spray round the throttle bodies to free em up a bit as the twist grip was a bit stiff. Took off the delivery fuel line to find some signs of water in the fuel rail.
After disconnecting 35000 electrical plugs, all clean, and 2 screws out came the fuel rail and injectors.Removed the injectors from the rail and inlet end wasn't too pretty nor was the rail, so out with the cleaning gear.


I have some small round wire brushes for this sort of job but even they were to big to get through the rail, so I employed a new trick, zip ties, I have some big wide ones, bunched 4 together and there you go. Now clean. The injectors have cleaned up well and don't appear to have suffered but only running will show a problem up.
I have one concern and that's the accumulator/pressure valve. There is corrosion in it but until I get pressure through the rail and check the return feed it's hard to tell if it will operate properly.
Will also need to take the throttle bodies off for a good clean up as I can see some fur through the injector ports.
Next was onto the job of sorting the exhaust studs.

As you can see it ain't pretty under there.

All the studs are there and in one piece. The guy I got it from was very proud of the fact he had removed the nuts and left the studs intact, (OK so he destroyed the exhaust clamps).

So they will have to come out, on the theory at least one will snap I got the stud extractor out and had a play, cleaned up around the base with a wire brush then a squirt of WD40. At this point I'm not confident and prob should have left it for a week before trying.
You guessed it first one snapped, they are easy to get at so drilling out shouldn't be too difficult, but I will take the forks out just for some more room and they will have to come out anyway.
